Thankful.

My mother. I look back at the struggles that she had to go through when raising me and my sister. My 'dad' (and I use that term VERY loosely) was a deadbeat and didn't help out at all.

She still made sure that we were safe. She always made it work. Now's she's remarried to a man that I much more consider my father than the other guy.

I'm getting married in about 5 weeks and I am trying to figure out a way to tell her how much she helped me in life. I know that because of her, I will not turn out to be a dad like the first one I had.

Don't worry about what holiday it is or isn't, it's never a bad thing remind yourself of the way things are now. It could be worse.

I actually try to do this as a writing exercise every once in awhile, although I used to do it every day. First thing that came to mind was that I'm grateful to have no physical impairments. I can see and hear. I can move about unaided.

How are you feeling these days with the other pains you were having? Things better?

It's one thing for your wife to not see the tiny endowment, but when you can't I'd say it's definitely time for
