Those wacky Japanese have done it again!!!
Last time I was in Osaka (about 3 months ago) I was walking around the shops near Namba Station and saw a arcade game similar to what we've all seen in the States. A metal claw that's guided over the prize by using a joystick, and then lowered onto the prize (usually a stuffed animal of some sort). Problem is that the claw never closes all the way and the prize falls out of the grips of the claw before it droped down the chute to the player.
Anyway, the version I saw in Osaka was just as I described above, except the prize was a LIVE LOBSTER!. The claw dropped into the a tank with three Lobsters (about a 2'x2' area) and the player trys to grab one of those suckers. I did see a guy get one, although I have no idea what you'd do with a live lobster at a shopping mall
I just hope tht he wasn't planning to shove it up some virtual woman's rear end!
