Maybe it's the fact that we get harassed everytime we go though security, yet we have a goddamn axe in the plane and need nothing more then our own hands to crash an airplane..........

I understand your and his frustration completely. Overregulation is rampant in my industry too. People who have no idea of day to day functioning in real world situations make reactionary rules upon us that serve to deteriorate morale and actually create danger rather than help situations.

 

What's the big deal? Just go through the damn machine. Christ, nothing to make a big deal about and potentially losing your job over it.

 

I'm sorry, I don't agree with this viewpoint.

If the pilot chooses to "opt out" and go through the regular metal detector, he should be able to, without extra harassment.

 

You can only take so much bullshit. EVERY day I go to work I get harassed by the TSA, these incompetent, uneducated jackasses. I am the one who flies the goddamn airplane, I am the one with a 10 year FBI background check, not some HS dropout. Do you know they don't have to go through the metal detector, neither do rampers..........the guys that sling bags in the back of my airplane do not have to go though a metal detector and I do, I have a problem with............

It gets very frustrating.........

 

Now I'm not saying I disagree with what he did at all.

But holy F*$# get off your high horse. Maybe TSA and 'rampers' don't go through them because.... wait for it.... wait for it.... they're not on the plane when it's in the air?!

honestly, think about it. They won't let me bring a butter knife through security, however there is a crash AXE in the cockpit, not to mention I am fully able to down an airplane with nothing but my hands, yet rampers who dont have to go through security can put anything they want in the cargo bin of an airplane, thats ridiculous

 

I refuse to go through those stupid machines and my job doesn't even depend on it. if I had to get on an airplane for my job, you can be damn sure I would def not go through those machines.

Total rush job, unnecessary breach of privacy (why can't we profile yet we are allowed to take nude pictures of our wives / gfs / mothers / etc), TSA caught lying through their teeth, shady "research"
