I'm watching this TLC (The Learning Channel) program called "Human Sexes", and they showed legalized prostitution in Nevada (is there such a thing? ) in this scene. This dude walks into some shacks out in the middle of nowhere, he's greeted by this lady (a little bit on the older side but still a looker), they walk into the room, and she says "it all starts from $80, depending on what you want." This dude stammers "well, how about a jacuzzi, I spend an hour with ya." The lady cooly replies "Do you want to have intercourse? Sex?" The guy stammers again "yeah...yeah, that would be nice. How much would that be?" The lady looks at him and says "A thousand dollars."



He says with embarrasement "er, I don't have a thousand dollars. I have like a hundred dollars." The lady thinks a bit "well, that can get you a bath." The guy looked stunned, "A hundred dollars for a bath? It must be some great bath."

A thousand dollars?

 

Back in the late '70s I was living in Kenya. The going rate there was 5 Shillings (50 cents at then exchange rates).

 

Nevada has three dozen legal brothels, with some 300 registered prostitutes engaging in hundreds of thousands of transactions per year.

Dude, don't you remember the infamous Mustang Ranch. It's no longer around anymore, but prositution is legal in Nevada, except in the counties that Reno andLas Vegas are in (I think that's Clark County and Washoe).
