not looking too good, Tiger might get to watch the rest of the open from home.

Lewis just took the lead. Coverage switched to NBC.

Does anybody know where the projected cut line will be? I'm surprised he's playing so poorly. Usually Butch Harmon tunes him up pretty good during majors.

Jasper Parnevik's gear is not fresh. Checkered pants, pink pants, and a flipped up lid is very uncool. He's a great player and a good guy though.

The top 60 (ties included) plus anyone with 10 strokes of the leader makes the cut. Go to http://www.usopen.com/scoring/alllb.htm#cut to see the leaderboard and the projected cut. Right now it looks like Tiger will get in, but just by the skin of his teeth. I'll be rooting for Phil (so Duval can re-take the label of 'best player that hasn't won a major').

If Tiger isn't in position to win, then I'll be cheering for Lefty or Duval. Both are good guys, and it would be nice if either one finally got a major.

He is capable of making that up in one round.

I hope so, but it's a tough course. Just look at the leader board. Four under par is leading the tournament. To make up 9 strokes in one day he would have to shoot a 61, but that's assuming nobody increases the lead. It'll probably take both days to catch up, and he'll need some help from the guys on top. Garcia, Duval, and Lefty are in good postion to win.
