can anyone recommend a good, but fairly priced tire pressure gauge?

Dude, what do you need it for?

You just want to check your pressure every once in a while? Get a cheapo.

You want to check your pressure and bleed it down after every track session? Get one like that Snap-On referenced above. The tube between the chuck and the guage is very handy, as is the pressure bleeding button. I bought one like that at a local shop.

if you buy a cheap one make sure you don't drop it lots and calibrate it against another different style one for accuracy maybe once or twice a year. Depending on how much you use it!

I like it.

I bought a cheap digital gauge at Wal-mart and compared it to an older analog gauge I had. They were off as much as 5 psi (from each other). I don't know which one to trust.

Yup, Longacre. There is a reason EVERY kart racer I know uses them. Tough, accurate, easy to read, not too expensive. Get one, thank us later.
