Yes, I know he's rich and can afford it, but man, there's more and more practical things to spend your money on. Buy a nice house for your new family, but the new kid some kick-ass toys, buy your wife a nice family car, get a cool vacation home, donate money to a school which you will be sending your child to for them to expand their library... the possibilities are endless. But don't buy your wife a jet when she is going to travel with you, and you already have a few jets of your own!
but i think he already has and/or will be providing all that. i think he just wanted to be a bit more original than the conventional gifts such as jewelry, and since katie holmes probably never had a jet of her own in her own life, and probably would never consider going out to buying one herself, a jet as a gift is quite different and unexpected. if you've ever given gifts to significant others, you should know that you never give them things that are practical. i mean, you should never give your wife home appliances as gifts, even though they are practical and she can benefit from them. i guess what i'm saying is that even though he splurged on something unpractical such as a jet for his wife doesn't mean that he will neglect spending money on all the pertinent things that his new family will need.

She's the idiot that went for him. I don't blame the dude.. he's a little wacko, but he's got himself a young beautiful fiancee and a child. She's got used goods. Plus he's dumb, learning disability.

That "dumb idiot" is richer and better-looking than all of you guys COMBINED. Heck, throw in your relatives and ancestors too, and it won't even come close. Oh how the whole world wishes to be "dumb idiots".

i'd rather be george clooney, than tom cruise. clooney is rich and good looking, but he doesn't make an ass of himself in public. also, he's not short like tom cruise, and his sexuality is not suspicious.
