I have not had Casa Noble.

The only way I would drink Don Julio is straight... perhaps with some fresh lime.

Between Don Julio and Patron... which is smoother? Probably Patron... but in the process of being so smooth, it loses its innate quality of tequila-ness.

Don Julio is amazingly smooth, while stilll tasting like tequila--great tequila.

Why not just buy him one really nice bottle? Quality > Quantity imo.

But is Patron actually any better than a Casa Noble Anejo? Or are you just paying for the name? I know Patron is like the bar top of the line tequila but is it actually that much better?

Heat shield has hit a production block. So delayed some more unfortunately.
Molds were having issues.

It's a tough call really. They're both good but, I'm a Patron person. I'd say just go with whatever you think he'd like the most. Btw, if he likes anejo, go with anejo. If he likes blanco, go with blanco.

That is a Blanco tequila right? Did some looking up on it and most were saying many $30 bottles of others brands tasted better so all preference I guess.
Think I will stick with an Anejo or reposado tequila.

He is not a real tequila enthusiast or anything. He lives in a country where you cannot buy tequila so any time he leaves he always wants to bring back tequila or if a friend visits wants someone to bring tequila etc.

My only comment is that the plural of Tequila doesn't have an apostrophe: Tequilas.

(Hey, it's really early here in Geneva!)

Bon chance!

I'm not an enthusiast either but, I think blanco, anejo, and respado are all different.

Yeah I know Blanco is not aged, reposado is aged around 3 months and anejo is 1-3 years usually.
