people have this 'me first' mentality - like their needs are more important than those of everyone around them. the rules of the road... stay right except to pass... these rules exist to facilitate quicker traffic flow for *everyone*. when people do stupid sh*t like i was ranting about it slows down so many more people.... just so that one idiot can avoid shifting a lane over.

 

Something elce I noticed is that people use their brakes for no apparent reason. I've seen people hit their brakes on I-95 with nothing in front of them. I'll be behind them and then BAM 70 down to 55 for no reason.

 

 

Nice little rant. Some of it actually made me laugh.

 

only times i've done that... when i see a cop and the speed limit is 55

i usually don't have that issue on the highways here. maybe they think you're 'too close' and they're brake checking you?

You're hypermilling. If you're doing this at all, you shouldn't be on the highway and you probably shouldn't own a car or have a license. If you're doing this in the left lane, you need your license revoked and you need to be punched in the face repeatedly.

No really, I was behind a prius doing this on the highway just a few weeks ago. Going sooooo slow in the left lane i was like what the hell is this guy smoking... I finally pass him on the right.... and he speeds up and gets on MY bumper.... then all of a sudden drops back.. slow, slow, slow... After that he didn't catch up. definition of a$$hat.

 

there are people on this forum that would (and did) argue against these points all day long
