Default Traffic laws assitance

I have a friend who just lost her license due to getting a 4th speeding ticket in 6 months. She's a stubborn girl and plans on using her sister's license to drive. I need solid facts to convince her not to do it, so what's the consequences of getting caught driving with a suspended license? Also, what's the consequence of getting caught using someone elses' driver's license?

I would imagine that she could face jail time and some nice charges of identity theft.

Back in my young and dumb days, I got caught a bunch of times driving on a suspended license. Then they revoked it. The judge told me after 10 times it is considered a felony. But I didn't wouldn't listen to anyone's advise and your friend probably won't either. I had to learn from my own mistakes and your friend will do the same. Trust me. And as far as using her sister's license, I don't have any experience there, but I'm guessing the consequences can't be good. Good luck, my friend.

I agree with that.

In early 07 I had the police threaten to charge me with something relating to carrying false/phony identification if my wallet was recovered after my car was broken into. I reported an expired license being in it to ensure it was on record if there were any future attempt at identity theft.

That's how the police treat victims, I can imagine how they'd treat the knowingly fraudulent. Definitely not a good idea to continue driving.

What does the sister think of this? Clearly the bad driver isn't going to instantly change her habits so I'd expect that before long the sister's license will be suspended as well.

What happened each time you got caught with a suspended license? A ticket?

I could have sworn I got 4 in 6 when I was in college and kept my license. Oh well, maybe the points system tightened up.

The worst part of my college driving was my insurance rates. Being an "assigned risk" is no fun when it comes time to insure!

She could be charged with a federal offence carrying a year's sentence and $1000 fine. That will seriously limit her career options.
