trance music
i never really liked this kind of raver-esque music but after watching the "turbo dreams" videos on youtube i really like it to drive too. i know its not a huge market for it and a few select people are well known, paul oekenfold, tiesto, etc. can anyone recommend some good beats or artists. i just wanna buy a cd and want some good stuff.

Banging Tunes has a huge archive of DJ mixes (look at the top right side of the screen for the Mixes section).
I am the same way, I tend to listen to techno mostly while driving. However, there is so many varients of electronica, it's hard to recommend anything without knowing what you like specifically (Trance, Techno, DnB, Jungle, etc).
I can throw out the following for you to look into:

Ferry Corsten (System F or Ministry of Sound as well of which he is a part)
DJ Tiesto
Paul Van Dyk
Dave the Drummer
Judge Jules <- I really like his stuff

One reason I like BangingTunes. There are tons of djs I've never heard of that mix some pretty good stuff for driving.

also, it'd help if you described the kind of trance you like. it's weird, but trance can mean a whole lot of different types of music depending on who you ask. my current faves:
