Default Trance recommendations, please.

I'm really in love with Paul Oakenfold's music. I just recently started listening to Tranceport.

Wondering what your favorite picks are in the world of trance.

They have some nice live sets and some good singles as well.

Just want to pick up one of each artist's album as a start and decide who's got my type of trance sound. From listening to Amazon.com sound clips, Oakenfold still takes the cake.

In your opinion, name their best album:

1) Oakenfold

2) Sasha

3) PvD

4) Tiesto

5) Other?

i don't think there's enough hard hitting bass in trance which is why i prefer progressive house or techno over trance...sasha and digweed i would have to say are the two best trance dj's....they do alot of live shows at nyc clubs so i get to hear them all the time...junior vasquez is now the resident DJ in a club in NYC and he's always good.

if you want some good beats pmsg and i can email you a couple of good songs

You should check out MP3.com. That is where I have found tons of trance. You won't find a lot of the "money makers" like Paul Oakenfield. You can listen to a list of the top rated songs for any given trance type. My favorite by far is Psytrance. Very trippy stuff.

I must say a favorite artist of mine is Analog P*ssy. (That's a "u" under the astrik. It keeps blanking out the word.) Very good stuff. They aren't on MP3.com anymore but used to be.
