Trapper Keeper Games
In the early 90s, notebook games swept schools across the nation. I can't remember the exact name, but you could play Soccer, Hockey, Baseball, Football, and Basketball. You use a penny, and actually play with an apponent. They just dropped off the face of the earth. If anyone remembers what I'm talking about, please enlighten me.
go back a little further.

ahh ya, those were the days, truth be told, if we are really bored at work, well play a little football across one of the desks.. kids these days are missing out on the simpler pleasures, I'm a big kid so I get the best of both!
Incubus, maybe this'll help?

Thanks for the help, but I think ya'll are confused. I am looking for a game that uses almost no technology, there are no batteries. You have a penny, and you can fling it across the "field" or into the air (for basketball). The penny is not included.
I swear it just dissapeared without a trace.

I know there was one where u'd get a paper fold it in a triangle then flick it like a field goal towards the person across the way with their Fingers like a Field Goal Posts.....

OK, old fart reporting in here...... here is what I remember:
Football: fold up a piece of paper into a triangle, you flick it toward one side of a table. If the paper football hangs over th eedge, that is a touchdown. If you flick the paper football off the edge so it falls over, your oponent gets a field goal attempt. He would hold his fingers together like a goal post, you would "kick" the paper between his fingers. We used to always try to hit the other person in his eye!
Basketball: usually played with a quarter or a nickle, one person would flick the coin so it spun, the other person would then try to catch it with only his thumbs, his other four fingers of each hand had to be on the table. If you successfully trapped the coin between your thumbs, then you got to "throw" it into the goal, formed by the other person's hands - his hands making a basket, with the two thumbs stuck up as a backboard.
Soccer: played with three pennies, the goal was to put them into a triangle, then hit the back penny, causing the pennies to seperate. Then, you had to flick a penny along the table, always having to flick the penny between two other pennies. The other person would make a goal with his index finger and pinkie on the edge of the table. You would keep flicking the pennies until you could shoot at the goal.
How's that?

I'm sorry about my lack of clarity here guys, here's the thing...
We went to the store, bought these things. They were the size of small notebooks, and had holes punched in them so they'd stay inside a binder or "trapper keeper". For baseball, for example, the bat had a slot in the shape of a semicircle that would hold a penny. When you fling the bat, the penny would slide on the "field". Where it stops determines what base you're on/if you have any outs.
These games were marketed only for what's described above. I remember them so vividly, but no search turns them up.
You buy a seperate product for each sport. There were like four available.
Hope that clears it up.
