TrojanHorse, I feel your pain, man...
I started a new project about a month ago (geez, has it been THAT long?!?) and I'm still sitting here, with an empty desk, only getting braodcast emails that I couldn't care less about and other email about where to go for lunch. It's so boring, I'm considering hanging myself from the ceiling just to shake things up a bit.
It's with one of the largest insurance companies in the world...plenty of web browsing in between trips to the cafeteria and the bathroom. And to think that I signed a year long contract.....oh, the humanity!!
Exciting stuff...
Is it 3 o'clock yet?!

Patience young Jedi. I am going on 6 months of inactivity and I just found out this morning it looks like nothing until about July of 2002. AHHHHHH. At least my grad school interviews are on Thursday so I can get into school and have some homework to do. Another hour until lunch and I am out of here. I never stay past 11:30 AM.
Some day I, too, will slack. I just need to practice not working so much. My poor car is so woefully neglected due to my schedule. It's tragic.
I've got a trick or two up my sleeve that should make me rich and lazy soon enough, though.

It is impossible to slack when there is no work to neglect. Even when I am all ready to get down to business there is no business to take care of! Not my fault our customers are f**kin' up their satellites.
Greg,
what are you saying? Being at *said insurance company* and having to go to lunch with hecash and I on a daily basis is mind numbing to the point of slitting your wrists......?
You have to flip your mentality and start looking at the glass half full!!! Just think of it this way, you now have more time to plan out and research your next steps with upgrading Scarlet....and hey, you're getting paid for it.
BTW, I have someone for you to talk to about project work...

Greg, Trojan Horse, don't you guys have it the wrong way around. You work first and retire later?
I mean aren't you suppose to work at work and not work at home or is it your not suppose to work when you work at work but only work when you go to work or is it you work when there's work only at home or at work ah.............what the hell!
Confusing isn't it!

Cedric,
Been there done that! Retiring is overrated!
Started working again cause I like my toys.
Really you got a point there. If your always trying to recover from work then when you retire all you'll be doing is trying to recover from all the years of work. The Japanese said it best in this one I think, "Be Happy In Your Work" . I traveled all over the world and saw alot things and worked in harsh enviroments. But I wouldn't trade my experiences for all the world. Learned just how valuable a gift we've been given.
There's a happy medium in everything you just need to find it!
In the mean time Greg, Trojan Horse get to work!!!!
