Aren't they one in the same. I thought Taiwan speaks Mandarin when I was there to visit.

DOesn't matter to me - I speak neither.

Theres no such thing as Taiwanese language

Theres Mandarin, which is used in Taiwan and most of China... and Cantonese which is more-so used in the cities.. like HK.. as far as i've seen

There is a Taiwanese dialect of Chinese. I can speak Mandarin, but I can't speak or understand Taiwanese at all.
