Default TV show DVDs...

does anyone else here collect DVDs of TV shows?? if so, which ones do you own?? i currently have all the Friends and Soprano seasons that have been released. i'm beginning to feel that they are a waste of money cuz i'll probably never watch them again, but somehow i still have the urge to collect them all... is there a marketing scheme behind all this that makes us want to spend money on things that we know we well never use??

My tastes run to the British shows....

"The Prisoner" 10 DVD set starring Patrick McGoohan
"Jeeves and Wooster" 8 DVD set
"A Year in Provence"
"Thick as Thieves" 1974 with John Thaw (Inspector Morse) and Bob Hoskins 8 episode British sit-com

I will watch these several times each easily without being bored to tears.

Also have "The Blackadder" series with Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) on VHS soon to be bought on DVD.

Mr Show is a must, that is if anyone here has even heard of, or even possibly seen the show. If not, you should definitely rent it and prepare to laugh for hours.
