I do find that it works best to reapply after a long day of work if there is a long night planned without the ability to shower up before heading out.
Ahh, you use the French method. Cover it up with perfume rather than shower.

I usually use Almay. Why? I tend to shop ingredients instead of brand, kinda like shopping for generics in drugs.

Almay uses a different active ingredient than do most other brands and they have a stronger percentage of the active ingredient. It still doesn't work all the time. If you were to shave your pits

Almay uses Aluminum Sesquicholorohydrate at a 25% strength.

One thing I've learned is don't shop at Target for deodorants. Apparently the larger chains can tailor the strength (read cost) of deodorants. Target's are consistently lower % of active ingredient than Walmart. Same brand, same box/bottle/whatever. I've called the manufacturer asking for the store that has the highest strength and they've told me I just need to shop around and look for the highest level of active ingredient. They acknowledge the variance in ingredients but won't tell me who buys the strongest.

Also a few years back I read in Consumer Reports, or one of those rags, that sprays have the lowest effectiveness, with liquid roll on deodorants next and gels or solids having the best.

it's not to cover the stink, it's to reapply preventative stink measures before their abilities wear off.

Mitchum was my favorite, but they stopped making the dry solid that I like, so I switched to Speed Stick. It works OK, but not as good as Mitchum.

The Gel based ones make your under arms feel wet
No one can see under my arm, its not like I walk around wearing wife beaters 24/7 but for women powder deodorant should be illegal
