There has to be someone here that goes to UTI on s2ki
Ive started school in september 13th of 2010, and Ive seen guys with SOC(student of the course) pins on their id badge.
what does it take to be student of the course? I want to succeed in school I study and I never get it, maybe because Im a B and C student.
Help? anyone?

It doesn't matter and ill tell you that right now (I got 3). If your smart you'll save the money and go to a real school. I wish every day that I didn't have to explain in interviews what a mistake that school was. UTI is a joke in the industry and you will find most dealers say they simply won't hire anyone that graduated from there.
Look into a manufacturer program like HONDA PACT at your local community college if you really want to be a technician.
The girl that was in my class got SOC in a few classes for sleeping with the teachers? Maybe try that?

I'm a current student at UTI. I've only received one SOC pin. I'm about half way through my training. SOC requires you to have the highest scores in class in this order: Attendance, Lab grades, Test grades, Professionalism. It's tough to get, and there's always going to be one or two people tied in the running until the EOC test.
Edit: Yes, it's pretty useless for the money you pay. I'm learning a great deal though, and that's all that matters, because I don't plan on working for someone else. My plans are to work for a performance shop for a while, take some design and metal fab classes, and eventually start my own shop/company.
