Default USAA Auto Insurance

Just wondering what people think of USAA. It saved me 50% over State Farm when I had very little experience. Now I use them for my Home Owner's policy too. Good thing my step dad's dad was in the military! Funny thing is, a lot of my friends in the military hadn't heard of it until I told them about it.

Also, for the USAA customers, do you know if they cover track days?

Been with USAA (my first credit card) since 1985 when I was 16. I use them for just about everything now.

If it is any indication of the quality of the company in late November I was rear ended by one of their policy holders. Given that my first thought was Oh No! what type of fly-by-night outfit is this. Reported the accident. I told them where I was taking it for repairs. By the next day they had approved the repair and a rental car until mine was out of the shop.

This sure changed my opinion.

I have it, too.

the value isn't in the lower rates. sometimes they are not the lowest. The value is in the SERVICE. Their motivations are totally different than other companies. USAA is a member organization, not a profit-hungry public corporation.

Haha.. that reminds me I need to cash mine too.

USAA is the sort of company that all companies should aspire to become. I have been with them since 1991 or so. Auto, homeowners, car loan, banking, and credit card :-)

When I bought a new house, I got an incredible loan deal through Countrywide so a rep from their insurance division called me to offer me homeowners. I said "I'm with USAA and dont plan to change". He said "yes, I get that a lot. Thanks for your time."

I know their rates are not the absolute cheapest but I do believe you get what you pay for. Whenever I've called them I dont ever remember the phone ringing more than twice before I get to talk to someone. Every single CSR I have ever spoken with there is courteous, friendly, and helpful.

I love the insurance, but the other thing I like is they can finance just about everything else.

my renters insurance is through them. My car loan is through them. My mortgage (when the time comes) will be, too. I love not having to worrry about loan approvals/fees and other crap...I just call USAA.

BTW, I got $57. It was $95 last year, though. Times are rough.

$153 dividend here.....

USAA Auto Insurance (3 cars) (2 financed thru USAA)
Condo Insurance
PAF
Umbrella
MasterCard

No need to go anywhere else for insurance\loans\credit cards\shall I go on?

1000% satisfied!

BTW USAA will match and beat any loan (car and home) offer out there!

Yep, I've got USAA, too. Got them after State Farm kept raising the rates for the S2000. Also have rental insurance and a credit card through them So far they've been great, but I haven't made a claim yet.
