Default USC vs. UCLA vs. Vanderbilt

No one is looking at my "Tennessee 38 Vanderbilt 0" thread, so I'll try again. Vanderbilt is now 2-8 and 0-7 in the SEC. Sumir, now I understand why you want to change the subject to academics.

The U.S. News and World Report new rankings of over 1,400 colleges and universities ranks Vanderbilt 21, UCLA 26, and USC 35. So what's your point?

USC's business program (of which I am an alum) is ranked 12. It's accounting and entreneurship programs (kind of important, don't you think?) are both ranked in the top 5. Vanderbilt is not ranked. So whose graduates are going to work for whom?

Vanderbilt has an undergraduate population of 5,868. Kind of a dinky little place. It's 83% white. USC and UCLA are both in the top ranking of campus diversity. For example, USC is 50% white, 23% asian, 14% hispanic, 6% black, and 7% other.

Time Magazine selected USC "College of the Year 2000" for its community outreach program. What kind of a community outreach program does Vanderbilt have?

Sumir, please take your little white school with the crappy football program away and leave those of us who are trying to be serious about collegiate athletics alone.

My school with the mediocre football team just knocked off the defending national champion at home. Where does that put me? Our basketball team is real good, does that help offset our football record? We play UCLA in football next year. That should be interesting...

I guess someone started talking smack about your Alma Mater, so you started this thread, but I wouldn't put too much faith in those arbitrary college rankings that US News puts out every year.

One more thing, I just have to say it:
Oklahoma State 16 - Oklahoma 13

When the day ends, your football team is still better than mine! Go BEARS!

U.S. News ranked U.C. Berkeley 20 -- ahead of Vanderbilt.
