Go to Cabo during spring break 06'. There's no place better for a 21yr old male to be.

St. John, St. Thomas, USVI, or some of the BVI islands. If you like watersports, you might as well have warm water.

It's an easier trip than the west coast.

I have been to many of the places listed, and love going to Vegas but it does not sound like your cup of tea. If you plan to vacation yourself and don't have cash to spend, any place in Mexico would be pretty good (although I would skip Mazatlan), Cancun has not been mentioned.


If you have the means, Hawaii is top notch for a visit and you can learn how to surf in Waikiki. Or buy a boogie board for $30 and board to your hearts content. If you go, it is pricey and can be overly touristy in Waikiki but it is great to climb Diamondhead, snorkel Hanauma, beginner surf in Waikiki, relax at Waimea Bay beach park. Can spend a day at Pearl Harbor, hiking.

Not that much night life, expensive, and the food aint great, but if you are traveling alone and want lots to see and do Oahu can be done reasonably. The other Islands the prices can go up fast.

man, u gotta go to brazil, spend a week in copacabana. i met a few yanks there when i was there in march and they said a ticket is about $800 return, but the place is cheap as hell to live on. and the women are fine as hell.

 

vegas is pretty good (im there right now) who would you be going with, what kind of money are you trying to spend. i would reccommend jamaica. its got good clubs and party people like cancun, but also has the chill/relax attitude that is hard to find in cancun. montego bay will be more going on and negril will be more laid back, but they are both great and i know of some good resorts in both.

 

WHAT!?!!!? One of the reasons I go to Hawaii is for the food. Spam Musubi, LomiLomi Salmon, Kalua Pig, Loco Mocos for breakfast, etc.

You musta been hanging out in the tourist joints. Look for where the locals are eating and go there.

 

Costa Rica or Belize

 

Costa Rica, I have heard is amazing. Its beautiful and the surfing is supposed to be awesome. I had a few friends that have been there and they, stayed in beach bungaloos for little $$ and had a blast surfing and hiking....
