I avoid valets at all cost. I take the other car if I know I'll have to valet park.

Shortly after we got the roadster we went to dinner on Balboa--valet parking. I handed over the key and went around to get my wife. I looked in the window to see the valet trying to break the key in the ignition. I walked back around the car, reached in the window, and hit the starter.

When we came out one of the other guys went to go get the car, but the first one grabbed the key from him--because HE knew how to start the car.

Sigh.

Taking the other car doesn't sound like avoiding valets "at all cost." Not going at all sounds more like it. Or taking the bus. Or walking.

(It's been a long week. )

Never valet park your car. TRUST ME. I used to work as one.

A few of my friends still do, and you really shouldn't.

Irvine or Surrounding area people, READ.

A couple of my friends work valet at the Irvine Spectrum and a Lexus RX model got stolen. This is a recent incident they just told me about. Some random guy came up acting like he was in a hurry, and said he lost his slip, and some valet parkers went and gave him the car, and he took off. About 20 minutes later, the real owner showed up, and that's when all the crap went down.

It's just a car... I can't enjoy a date if I spend the whole time obsessing about the S2K, so there are times I just let it go.
