For the fifth straight year I'm heading out to Las Vegas with a group of buddies to watch the SuperBowl. I know there are a few other weekends where there are more strippers and porn stars in town but I don't think you can beat the electricity of Vegas SuperBowl weekend.

Anyone else going to be out there?

As an added bonus the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona is that weekend. Has anyone ever bet on an endurance race? Where can I go to research endurance racing before I bet on it?

Plus there are two good looking championship boxing matches on Feb 2nd, one is a Bernard Hopkins and the other is a Roy Jones Jr. fight. Too bad, neither is taking place in LV. But at least I can bet on the fights.

BTW - Anyone who's been out there lately have suggestions on the best places to go?

Check William Hill (www.willhill.com); they might have odds on Daytona.

Every once-in-a-while there are banner ads for betting houses on Yahoo!'s Formula 1 site; they're probably all British, but thay may have a line on Daytona.

I was actually planning to be there for superbowl weekend too, but I also got tickets to the Hockey All Star game at Staples Center, so I had to cut my trip short. I'll be in Vegas during the week, but will be leaving on Thurs. to get back to LA for the festivities on Fri. If you're going to be in Vegas during the week, let me know and we can try to hook up.

I'll be stayting at The Luxor.
