It's hard to believe the validity of the claims the guy is making. What he says is true, from the math side. But, who knows if he was really quoted .002 cents versus .002 dollars.

the Verizon employees said multiple times on the recording it was 0.002cents.
Indulge me for a second. If I sound stupid, just ignore me and carry on.
So this guy calls in, probably to complain about being charged 71 dollars vs 71 cents. I have a hard time believing there was some kind of confusion amongst him and the paperwork that stated he was being charged .002 cents, rather than .002 dollars.
Paperwork is final, unless something was misprinted, and in that case, he would have proof of that, and wouldn't be needing to justify his way through the maze of stupid employees at the Verizon call center.
That's just me, it's still a funny thing to hear. I'm not bagging on anything, but unless there was a misprint somewhere regarding his quote (assume spoken terms null), I don't see why this would have came up. But I can see the point one could make saying he was told (verbally) the quote was .002 cents, not .002 dollars.
Maybe I'm over analyzing everything, I've been stuck inside all day. He could just be complaining about the fact that no one knows the difference between a dollar and a cent.

go to the original link for the story HERE and read about it. The "story" is that he confirmed over the phone before he went on his trip that he would be charged .002 cents for data and when he got his bill, it was .002 dollars.
That's why he called and recorded Verizon's inability to understand the difference.
