one day some dude in an SUV was tailgating me...like 3ft following distance going 90mph!!!! I slammed on my brakes (needed a new rear bumper anyway) and he had to swerve onto the shoulder. I went from 90 to about 40, then quickly got back up to speed and headed for an exit...not my planned exit, but the first one I saw. Well, this er started following me off the highway! I lost him in a neighborhood after a 15 minute chase.

*shrug* sometimes there is nowhere to go, and you're moving as fast as the traffic will allow. then some asshole comes riding up so close you can't see their headlights in the mirror.

I've brake checked a couple people in my life. It conveys a nice clear message that is hard to misunderstand, even by a mouthbreather.

As an aside, he might be an idiot sometimes but I dont think that brake checking someone who won't back off is what makes that true.
