Aust is right, you can copy the game and play it standalone w/o a net conxn to verify a steam account. It's a little screwy though (at least the way I know is).

I think Doom 3 has more engrossing game play, but otherwise enjoyed HL2. Like beano said, go play some CS!

Really....I played Doom 3, and I didnt think the gameplay was as good.....scriptwise, and being submersed into gameplay. It is a good game however.

a game that sells for about $39.99 is NOT worth 2 weeks of downloading gigs and gigs of data and time spent cracking to "maybe" work on or off steam... hehe I never understood why people go through the trouble..

college kids with no money usually. also, many legitimate owners do this to make sure they are "current" on their technique.

I don't hack or copy software. I'm more into hardware hacks to change my stuff to more expensive stuff!
