Wahhhhhh Hoooooooo
Geez- And while I was eating lunch I was thinking of posting this just to make my cause to help the counts.
HOT NEWS FROM JAPAN:
As many of you may know when the original SSM (before SSX) concept was being developed in Japan in '95 the car did not have a 4-cyl; it had the straight 5-cyl that was tweaked from the Acura Vigor. Part of the reason the hood was so long was specifically because the length was needed for the longer 5-cyl.
So now the news- the 2004 Type R S2000 is under development in Japan. The engine has been changed to an in-line 5-cyl. at 2.5 liters. The development has taken horsepower up to 125/ltr so we will be looking at about 312 horsepower.
The 6-speed gearbox has also been refined and will now be a sequential shifter with a much stronger clutch.
More news to come as I learn about more of the specifics. The one other thing I did find out was the gear indicator digital readout gauge will be added to the instrument cluster.
