Default "Wal-mart watch is coming to town"....?

I heard a commercial lately where they sing similar to "santa clause is coming to town", but instead it is "walmart watch is coming to town". they talk about how wal-mart doesn't offer health insurance, supposedly 70% of their merchadise comes from China (which i doubt....maybe 70% is imported, but lots of it comes from malaysia, indonesia, & china, etc....).

Do these people actually think that they will even slow down the traffic into walmart? they are probably actually helping wal-mart. Kind of like when Tipper Gore made a big deal over some music lyrics i think those CD's actually sold more since that was like free advertising.

I hate wal-mart and will gladly pay Kmart or Target a little bit more $ for the same stuff but without all the inbreds....... but I doubt a handfull of protestors can accomplish much of anything againts WAL-MART.?

It prompted you to post here, no? I avoid Wal-Mart as much as I can - Target is much nicer.

Didn't know cashiers stock boys and a dude saying "hi" when I enter the store all qualify as skilled work. Sklilled work? Must be if they think they are entitled to benefits. Tools! Didn't know that that little mom and pop place was paying anyone the rates walmart does nor giveing benefits.

I'm not a big fan of target seeing as they will not support a charity for war veterans; they refuse to support them I geuss.

I shop at Walmart b/c of the lower prices and I don't plan on changing. Its simple economics to me...pay less for the same. I don't see Target or K-Mart paying any better or giving more benefits than Wal-Mart does; I think all the heat is on Wal-Mart just due to their size. People always want something to complain about, and the largest companies generally get the brunt of it (i.e. Wal-Mart, Microsoft, GM, etc.). I very simply say, "If Wal-Marts so bad, don't work for them." Wal-Mart hires MANY people that no other place would even consider (seniors, handicaps, mentally-challenged, and the list goes on).

WalMart superstores are devistating to smaller communities that have "Mom and Pops" stores. The one stop shopping concept kills business in the communities that have been open for decades.

In larger Urban areas it's a matter of convenience. Walmart has it all and they are well stocked.

When ever I'm forced to go to Target or Kmart it feels like I'm in a ghost town and Old Mother Hubbard.

Survival of the fittest.

Walmart is bad on more than one front. Google the story about Pickles and Walmart.
Basically even major vendors like Dill and Vlasic (sp?) can't even put out the merchandise that WalMart wants and the prices WalMart wants, but they also can't afford to not be in WalMarts stores.

The problem was that W.Mart wanted them to sell 1 gallon of pickels for like $5. But the company would make more off of selling 4 1/4 gallon jars. W.Mart didn't care and said "we want that and we want that for this price" they couldn't afford to not be in W.Mart and they make a very slim profit from the gallon jars. Basically if any financial problems hit WalMarts suppliers (like pickel company) the company will fail (no big profits/no loose cash) and WalMart will move on to the next company.

That's valasics fault for doing business like that, they always sell there product elsewhere Like where I buy my pickles, the grocery store. God forbid they make their product more efficently. Welcome to America, capitalism is the game here if you don't like it find a socialist economy. Also note that other pickle companies don't sell to Wal-mart and they are still doing well and on the shelves of my grocery store, I prefer heinze .
