I'm leaving this one up, even though it belongs in OT. I'll be keeping a close eye on it, though, and I expect maturity and civility from all who reply. God bless our troops and our country.

Criticising the way of thinking (i.e. the aim to solve the "Hussein" problem with war) does not mean to be affirmative to Hussein! Therefore I can't understand why some people are flaming France or french people! You should always keep in mind that the french revolution was an important prerequisite for ALL modern democracies. And flaming canadians or "their french roots" is like "making an own goal in soccer" because you also should think about where america's roots are!

My thoughts are with all innocent victims of this war! Be they on what "side" ever!

Excuse my not so perfect english, I'm not a native english speaker. But I hope you can understand and respect my thoughts!
God bless our troops and America.

I respect your opinions, but I beleive the main reason that people are lashing out at the French is because they are so hypocritical. They said that we needed to give diplomacy a chance (as if over 10 years is not enough...), then they take the position in the UN that they will veto ANYTHING, no matter what the resolution says. I'm sorry, but that is not diplomacy.

I can understand if you criticize those persons, that make that veto and I can understand if you are thinking of Saddam Hussein of being a "bad" person, but if you start flaming a population or a nation or a race for the thinking of some few persons....
Hey! think about... there are some billion HUMAN BEINGS living on the same planet! And each and every one of those is an INDIVIDUAL! And everybody has the right of not agreeing with "war" as a solution for the Iraqi dictatorship!
And every war costs the life of innocent human beings! Whoever is thinking the oposite is just na
