I watched it, too. Reminds me of my Army days...except I never jumped out of a plane...or got shot at.

Of course it's doable - it just wouldn't be legal...

If it's like the rest of their stuff (Sopranos), it'll be out on DVD soon enough.

It only took them a couple of months to come up with 61* on DVD so I'm sure this will be out by Jan/Feb timeframe. Haven't heard anything about it yet though - and with Spielberg involved who knows... Keep your eyes peeled here http://www.thedigitalbits.com/rumormill.html for the most reliable info.

It is pretty great so far though, and so much more so knowing it's based in reality. How did I ever watch TV before HBO? I don't think I watch ANYTHING on "normal" TV except local sports that I can't get on the dish or MNF, US Open finals that kind of stuff. No other programs at all. The HBO stuff is just WAY too good.

I screwed-up, I was only going to watch for 5 minutes as I tuned in about 30 minutes after it started and yup you got it, I watched the whole damn thing. I promised myself not to watch the first show cause I hate a commitment. Sh$t, I'm hooked on it now!

WWII was a defining moment for the USA and its place as a World power. This 10-hour series takes us from D-Day to the fall of Berlin as seen through the eyes of Easy Company. With Spielberg and Hanks acting as executive producers, I think the quality will be first rate, especially if Sunday's offering was any indication.
