I've got well water (that makes a piece of granite feel soft) at home that is filtered through a 20micron rust/sediment filter, then it goes through a softener to try and eliminate the 39000 grains of hardness. The drinking water then goes through a .5micron filter that also is supposed eliminate cysts and heavy metals. Then the water gets its final filtering through my kidneys, and is passed as urine, into the toilet and on to the sewer/wastewater system of the township.
So yeah, I drink filtered water from my well, not some other well unless I am traveling or buy a bottle of water for in the car or truck.
