Weary, Leery, or Wary & Thread or Tread
Okay, after seeing this on way too many forums (including Ferrarichat, today), let me set this straight.
If something appears too good to be true, you have no reason to be WEARY. Rather, you have reason to be WARY or LEERY.
WEARY - physically or mentally exhausted by hard work, exertion, strain, etc.; fatigued; tired
WARY - watchful; being on one's guard against danger
LEERY - wary; suspicious
Furthermore, tires do not have thread or threads. They have TREAD or TREADS. That's why they have treadwear, not threadwear, ratings.
THREAD - a fine cord of flax, cotton, or other fibrous material spun out to considerable length, esp. when composed of two or more filaments twisted together
TREAD - the part of a wheel, tire, or runner that bears on the road, rail, etc
That is all. Further misuse will result in failure of the interweb.
