Default Well paying jobs that don't need a 4yr degree,

I'm in the car business now and hoping to move up the management ladder where I'm at now. I've been there for 5years (this April).

I have been thinking about if there is anything out there for me "in case" for some reason the car business just doesn't cut it for me anymore.

Anyways, I have the sales experience and I'll be finishing my Associates degree classes this semester. I've also held many positions at the dealership which help me in other areas.

I'm just asking for opinions to see if there are any jobs out there that I would be interested in doing but would have a more "guaranteed" pay type scale (salary plus commission would work to ).

thanks for the input guys

um just a suggestion but have you thought about finishing up a BA/BS?

you don't need a 4-year degree to do well, but it does help and shows that you've dedicated your time & effort to finish a project.

another route you can take is save up enough money to run a franchise or even your own dealership.

Associates degree doesn't mean anything really. Even nowadays a bachelor's degree is really common. It's the new high school diploma, meaning it's not so special if you have a bachelor's degree.

I was actually thinking of mentioning Pharmaceutical sales, but yeah, that takes a degree. From what I've heard it takes about a million dollars to open up a typical "new" car dealership, so that may be out of the question as of right now...

Money Magazine had an online article a few months back about the top 10 careers that do not require a college degree.

One that stuck out to me was air traffic controller because someone I know does that. It is a Govt job that pays up to about $115,000 and requires an 18 month course. You have to get in by a certain age (28 I think) or they won't take you.

It is supposed to be stressful but the guy I know loves it.
