Default Wet down (edit more truck pics)

pictures from a wetdown my company recently attended. when a fire station gets a new apparatus, they throw a huge party and trucks from all over attend. Our truck (rescue 56..the big yellow one at the end) won the best appearing truck for an out of town company award. anyway, pictures are nothing special but enjoy

the rescue truck is designed for extrication/entrapment calls/car accidents/truck accidents/ r.i.t. (response intervention team...that is if another fire company had a fire fighter mayday...this would get dispatched...if there is a working fire in our district, this truck is almost always there with a crew standing by with baskets, metal cutting saws, extra air and so on) there is no water on the truck save some water cans. also in the middle is a huge light tower that rises prob. about 30 feet

this is only one of our trucks...so should anything go down, our others would handle it...that being said, several rigs had to leave the party to respond to a working fire on the other side of town. pics of contents coming soon
