Default What is the best barbeque grill?

T & I when looking today. We want a nice one, but was hoping to spend no more that $200. The ones we saw at costco were $300-700. We saw a $100 but it was cheaply manufactured. Any suggestions? We have a small grill be we want a decent size outdoor one for having company.

I just saw an add for a new one, Stainless Steel, it can run 4 diffrent methods of cooking at the same time.... they advertised it at $699 I believe at Sears, wish I could remember the name, but it's new and Im sure you cant miss it. Wanted to get one myself this weekend.

For less than $200 I'd recommend the Sears Kenmore line. For more I'd recommend the Weber line. Whatever you do make sure to buy a cover for it. Nothing makes you want to replace cooking parts faster than a grill left unprotected.

I like my Ducane as far as gas grills go. But, honestly no matter how much you spend on a gas grill they are never, ever, as good as a classic Weber (charcol) Kettle.

We have a Weber and love it, its well worth the extra money. We used to go through grilles every 3 years or so, because they would wear out quiete quick. But the Weber still looks new after 3 years, also it make you a better cook.

After 4 gas grilles over the past 15 years, I bought a Weber charcoal as a temporary cooker until I was willing to make the "Ducane investment". Three years later, I have decided to stay with the Weber and the charcoal in spite of great prices on quality Ducane and Weber gas models.

IMHO, It's a much better way to cook(especially when flavoring with wood), just as controllable as gas if you have had a LOT of practice with charcoal, and tastes better than any gas appliance, no matter what the brand is.

I've had my Weber charcoal grille for about 4 years and still looks like new. I'm thinking of getting a gas grille, but the charcoal one is holding up pretty well.

Anyway, S2KFan if you haven't decided what type of grille you want, this link might help:
http://www.weber.com/Public_Weber/index.as...?section=grills
..There's a buyer's guide section of Gas vs. Charcoal that's pretty informative.

Amen, Vaper et al...Weber grills are unbeatable. And being a native Texan BBQ is a part of my blood (even with the high cholesterol)

I don't care for gas grills, I have the simple Weber charcoal kettle and it does magic...man, I'm hungry now.

Weber all the way...my Dad would say the same thing....

I agree that the Webber is the best. If you get one get it at Home Depot. The grating on thiers is cast iron versus coated steel at other places. The cast iron cooks much better IMHO.
