Default What is the best radar detector/blocker??

Im wondering what everyone is using for a detector or blocker, had a close encounter this past week, trying not to make my insurance company any more richer, so what are you running and what capabilities does it have?

Here we go again, personally I have a passport 8500 I could not justify the extra 150$ for the V1 for arrows pointing in a certain direction, if I hear it go off I slow down regardless. I would go with the passport. Also use the Search function.

As a V1 owner, i can definitely state:

Go with the V1 or the 8500.

1. If the arrows are worth it to you (they are to me) then the V1 is worth the $100-150 more than the 8500.
2. If you don't live in a socialist, money-grubbing state like California, you can buy an integrated laser jammer for the 8500. Though the separate laser jammers like the Lidatek and Blinder are supposedly better than the Escort model and also work with the 8500 (and V1) as a separate unit.
3. Radar jammers simply don't work. Don't bother with them.
