Seems that all the cars around my area are getting all these cheap ass bodykits and just putting them on unpainted. This has become really popular in the last 4 months or so. I mean, there have always been one here and there but now they are everywhere. Ricers, what will they do next.

Yeah unpainted, different colors that came primered, different colored kits.

Now it's eyelids, racing stripes, and everything else that makes me embarassed even thinking about driving those cars, which does not exclude some of the things people have done to the S2000.

It's a sin to have a kit on with out painting it........

I may own an S2000 but we also have a 98 Eclipse GST that is in the body shop now getting a kit installed and we are repainting it Hot Pink.....

Call us Ricers, it's gonna look sweet no matter what.

Here in CO there are a lot of people that have unpainted body kits, but the worst thing that is starting to happen is the flat black painting. Instead of people spending the money to get their body kits painted they are spending a few dollars on flat black spray paint. Brilliant!!

It's for that "serious" racer look. Just like rocking steel wheels with no hubcaps.

It's not my style either but I can sorta' understand the flat black thing. It's kind of a throw back to the old time hot rodding days when they were putting flathead v8's in stripped down ugly as hell model T's and racing them. That is, if you can call these newer cars hot rods!

True, the flat black does look good on the older cars but most of the cars I see are late 80's, early 90's civics. I don't think that anybody considers those hot rods.

My dad was asking me about this the other day. He thinks it's like some "new" thing. He was like what's up with all these pretty new cars with different front/rear bumpers in different colors and not to the line/shape of the car. All I could do was

I guess some people can only afford the body kit but not the paint.
