We BBQed in our backyard: baby back pork ribs, baked beans with BBQ sauce, potato salad, pasta salad, crab salad, rasberry and strawberry smoothies, and Beck's beer. It was fantastic.

We have a block party on our cul-de-sac. The festivities start about noon with a parade around the neighborhood. We have bicycles, razor scooters, wagons, and so on--I ride my old penny-farthing--all decorated with flags and streamers. Then it's back home to the barbecue: hamburgers, hot dogs, Polish sausage, chicken, a 22-pound turkey (BBQ turkey is awesome!), chips, salsa (courtesy of yours-truly), noodles, potato salad, sauteed octopus, cookies, brownies, lemonade, soda, beer.

If you went away hungry it was your own fault!

We went to Islands and had some of their fries and some soft tacos.

Ended up going to Redondo Beach Pier and actually saw two fireworks shows. We could see Hermosa beach from where we sat and actually saw their fireworks show at the same time.

Veggie Subway on old fashioned wheat and pink lemonade. Today we had a real meal. Wolfgang Pucks turkey burger and lemonade. It doesn't get much better than that! At least I didn't have .
