we are going in about a month for 5 nights. I was thinking of Chunneling to & from London for 1 long ass day so that leaves 4 days in Paris.
I know nothing other than we are staying in the Opera District.
Help a brotha out.

My mother and two sisters were in Paris for a week and a half in July and from what I gathered here are some helpful hints:
Don't spend your time (and money) in cafes and restaurants, grab a bite to eat every now and then from the various street vendors. You can easily spend up to $60 on food that is comparable to what the vendors sell for a 1/4 of the cost. You are a tourist but you shouldn't have to pay like one!
Don't bother taking cabs you can walk to almost everything you want to see.
Go to your local AAA and grab a map. Plot your route for the days you are there, it will be much easier and save you a lot of time that you might end up wasting sitting on your hands unsure of where to go. See the Arc, Notre Dame, the Pantheon, Louvre, catacombs, Pere Lachaise, etc.
You have a computer and an internet connection, get your girl to sit on your lap and look up places you would like to see. Plot it on your map!!!

Ooo, Paris! One of my favorite cities. I was just there a month ago, and going back in another two months - so here are a few things I'd recommend:
La tour Eiffel lights up every hour at night, on the hour, for five minutes. Grab a bottle of bordeaux from Medoc - it'll be cooler there in a month - and cuddle up on the lawn for a late-night picnic, snack while watching the lights and taking it in. Trocadero is the closest metro stop.
You'll of course probably see Sacre-Coeur, Jardin des Tuileries, Musée du Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame (don't buy ANYTHING food/drink wise from this area), L'Arc du Triomphe, and maybe Bastille. Also, I prefer Jardin/Palais du Luxembourg over Jardin des Tuileries. I honestly can't comment on how it is in the Fall, but the flowers and scenery in the summer are much more spectacular -- and shaded -- than Tuileries.
The Opera is in the 9th arrondissement, which is also very pricey, but you can find good, cheap eats at a lot of places. My favorite (cheap) breakfast place is Brioche Dorée, and of course you must have pan au chocolat in the park.
I don't really know what you and your girlfriend like to do when going out, but Bastille has some good clubs, and Montmartre (where Sacre Coeur is) has my favorite dance/house club - The Social Club.
However, everyone loves Odéon. Go there. It's where all the students go, and it's really fun. Plus, there is cheap food everywhere!
Now, if you're looking for artistic things to do, and make it different from almost every other Paris trip, buy an art book of Paris. Casually flip through the photos of Eugène Atget, or Cartier Bresson, and then find or happen upon those places while walking around the city. My girlfriend and I tried to recreate a few pictures that Cartier-Bresson did, most notably the one behind Gare de St. Lazare.
Also, Space Invader and Blek le Rat have a lot of great graffiti worth discovering in Paris; however, you have to keep an eye out for it ;-).
Man, I could go on this topic forever. But the most important thing: kissing ... everywhere.
