Can you put a "private parking - violator will be towed" sign on your parking spot?

if it is infrequent, why not just part somewhere else, knowing at some point one of your visitors is going to do the same thing?

Cooler heads prevail.

if it happens all the time and / or with the same people then the tow truck would be called I guess.
I'm with scot on this one.

Our parking lot at work has big signs that say "Assigned parking only -- tow away." People from Quisnos and Starbucks park there anyway (and constantly litter the lot with their crap). I tried using a traffic cone, but people would either run over them or steal them. About a year ago I put concrete inside a cone with a stick with big nails sticking out the top. I haven't had a problem since.

this would be fine, but depending on where you live there could be no other parking. for example at school, i had a person towed because it is impossible to find parking elsewhere. which is the reason you get a numbered/assigned spot in the first place. in chicago, it's the same thing. though i have a garage now, so there better not be anyone else in there!

buy a restraunt sized roll of saran wrap from sams or costco and wrap it over and over around the top of the car and then under the car basically sealing the drivers and passenger doors shut.

it will take two people about 20 mins to do it but the driver will have to spend hours taking off before they can get in it.
