What to do with unwanted cats (seriously)...
One of these is an old old old nasty cat.... the other is only about 5 years old and still fairly normal (someone may actually adopt him)...???
Guess the shelter is the solution.
Was hoping one of the local Peking Moon restuarants would just scoop them up

Any good vet will not put them down just because you don't want them anymore. In fact, that's how I got one of my dogs: her previous owners told the vet to put her down because her food was too expensive (don't get me started...
); the vet refused and called Boxer Rescue to come get her. She was my first and only foster dog, and she's been with me, off of the adoption list, for nearly 2 years now. You've never seen such a grateful and loving dog.
Take the cats to the humane society. They've been faithful pets and deserve better than being left to fend for themselves in the wild (where they may or may not even know how to climb a tree; my cat doesn't know how!) where they could be mauled by other animals or starve to death. Believe it or not, many domesticated animals are clueless about how to fend for themselves in the wild unless they have lived that way before!

sounds like the humane society is going to win this one.. i think the old one will just get "the chair" and the younger one will probably be adopted.
Thanks for the help... at least no one mentioned that 4th "anti freeze" alternative.
