Do you have connections with any manufacturers or distributors that can give you good prices on a product? It can be anything, as long as there's some sort of market for it and it can be shipped. eBay is a great place to start, and if things go well you can run some magazine ads and set up a website and hire some people to answer phone calls and emails. The cool thing about eBay is you can test the waters for a product you're unsure of with a neglible amount of money - $2-$5 per auction is not a lot of money to pay for something that may end up being a regular flow of income.

It worked for me. At certain times I was making $1,000 a day.

I am officially the "controller" of a manufacturing company.... but... I hate the name "controller"... so I normally say I am an accounting dork....... Plus I own 3 handfulls plus 2 rental houses and I my wife and I started a mortgage broker company about 8 years ago........which has been doing pretty well lately!

I was a Divisional Controller back in MN for an "Environmental Services Company" but then transferred to our corporate offices in Houston. I now have a title that makes it much easier to tell people that I "count" stuff......

I too was going to place tiny classified ads in newspapers that make just a few dollars each...but then I thought what if I place hundreds of tiny classified ads in newspapers......

I'm a computer programmer and part-time grad student. The part-time grad student part, however, is pretty expensive and doesn't really help me afford my car.
