Default What else do I need to do?

....if I sell my car to an out of state guy in Maine? Do I need to do anything at the DMV/my insurance office or does it all just work itself out naturally? What are the processes/steps/tips? I know I dont need to get it smogged though since Maine has no emission laws and I can take my plates off. The car isnt paid off yet and I would need to pay my credit union in full to get the title from them.

Please don't get scammed =) be cautious, and let the cashiers check clear FULLY. That could take 2 weeks.

Is he by chance offering you more money than what you're asking for and wants you to send him a check for the difference? If yes, then stay away, it's a scam.

He actually offered me a price $500 lesser than my asking price. Then I asked him if he could pay me $300 lesser than my asking price instead and he agreed.

I wonder if many people these days buy cars from another state without looking at it first in person?

Sounds like one of those usual scams.
