What to get with $500
So one of the bonuses my company passed my way at Christmas was to go spend $500 and just expense it back to them.
So now I need to buy something/some things.
After thinking a little bit about what I'd like here's the list I've made, and I need to pick one or something else.
- IPod Touch (Not IPhone, gotta stay on my company's Blackberry Enterprise Server)
- 80GB IPod Video & Sound Dock
- New head unit for my S2000 with DCI and IPod controller
- Ski Boots (I have brand new skis and poles but haven't bought boots yet)
That's all I can come up with. I've got a digital camera, blackberry, etc etc etc many other technology items out there but definitely not everything. Anyone make some suggestions?

I like the trip idea but I already scheduled a trip to the Dominican for next month, and flights from Canada to elsewhere aren't overly cheap unfortunately.
I had some hesitation about getting the Touch because it seems like a big expense for nothing amazing since I'm more than happy to use a shuffle when I'm working out. That's the time I use the IPod most anyway.
Head Unit and Ski Boots is looking like the best idea. If I go over and pay the difference it's no big deal, like AlX Boi said, I was going to buy the boots anyway.
Any other good ideas before I start shopping online for a new deck?
Hookers don't give receipts or accept debit/credit.

SKI BOOTS! Oh my god, boots are the most important parts of your ski equipment! The latest and greatest skis won't do diddly for you if all you have are ill-fitting rental boots!
How's the rest of your equipment? A new jacket alone could wipe out that $500 depending on which brand you go with.
Pick up some marino wool socks and baselayer items. A boot dryer. New helmet (with MP3 player support if you like to listen while you're bombing.)

I'd look for another job. $500 bonus is weak
How about just use it during your trip?

How about just use it during your trip?

Some of the other stuff is direct financial, some is intangible like being in Toronto for the month of December to see family and friends (I live across to country and work at our other office now) half-assing it and working some seriously reduced and flexible hours. Though the last part is kind of common throughout the rest of the year...

I thought about spending it on the trip but I want a new toy instead. I went nuts spending and buying whatever I wanted for the first 8 months of the year and cut myself off a few months ago so I decided I need something I can play with.
