sort of based on S2000Raj's thread but with my 7 years of wastedness on this site...

what has changed in your life in the past 7 years?

7 years is a long time. Girls that were 11 are now legal.

In the past 7 years:

• stalked and stopped stalking C_Unit's ass...in the process of re-stalking...
• owned 7 different S2000's
• quit my job for about 18 months to get hired back at higher pay
• Started buying rental properties while i didn't work... now trying to get out of that shit but will have made a fair amount of $ in the process.
• moved out of my house.....6 months later...moved back in...doh!
• maintained my same 175lb physique (i work out 5-6 times a week though)
• watched my kids grow from 4 & 6 to 11 and 13.... crazy how fast that happens
• donated blood almost every 8 weeks for the full 7 years.
• got laser hair removal on my palms
• drank approximately 6,000 cans of mountain dew!!!!! (diabetes here I come).

 

Became 7 years older.

 

what hasn't happened:

grown tired/love loss for the s2k

 

Well 7 years ago I started dating my boyfriend and we just celebrated our 7 years together

-I was also 16 back then
-still in high school and driving my mom's crappy ass cavalier to school
-got my first car which happens to my S over a year ago
-survived a nasty accident 5 and a half years ago
-started up two businesses in the last 2 and a half years
-graduated from College
-become a Godmother

Man I've been busy for the last 7 years...

 

Offed 00 Berlina, got 06 Blue Hotness.

Lost little Milo and his sister, PJ.

Got Molly and Flo.

 

^ i really like that dark blue!!!!! If i thought i would keep an S2000 long term that would be the color for sure!!!!

 

The S2000 went from "dream car" to "an old friend."

It also received many hours and dollars in the process.

 

Let's see:

• Left PIMCO to join Aerojet (later Northrop/Grumman)
• Left Northrop/Grumman to start my own consulting business
• Started teaching math again at CSUF
• Started teaching risk management, then finance, at UCI
• Reinstated my CFA charter
• Celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary
• Watched the Formula 1 US Grand Prix at Indianapolis, live and in person
• Learned horseback riding
• Bought an S2000
• Joined s2ki.com
• Went on my first horse drive (and got my shin stitched up after getting kicked by a horse)
• Bought our first horse, an Arabian named Valentine
• Bought our second horse, an Arabian named Khaleel
• Bought our third horse, an Arabian named Boris
• Sent our daughter off to college in Seattle
• Sent our younger son off to San Antonio
• Buried several guinea pigs, two rabbits, and one collie
• Bought our first cat, a Pixie Bob named Orion
• Got two kittens from the animal shelter: Carlton and Mingus
• Got a tri-color, rough collie from the animal shelter: TJ
• Started teaching an online course on the Markowitz efficient frontier at UCI
• Developed and began marketing my own investment portfolio allocation software
• Became a moderator on s2ki.com

and so on . . .

 

Cool thread.

I moved from Indiana to Sacramento to Pasadena to Ventura.
I finished training (huge thing in my life) and got a real job.
We had 2 kids and got our dog.
We bought 2 houses.
Made a ton for s2ki friends, went to meets, learned a lot about my car.

Those were the major things in my life, plus TONS of little things.

 

I haven't even been living for 25 years and you've just celebrated your 25th wedding anniversary!
