Yeah I think if people are surrounded by like-minded people they'll do similar things, whether or not those things are good or bad.

Since most people who commit suicide are either, 1. brainwashed, 1a. have an infallible belief in something 2. unable to think fully rationally due to age, 2a. both, 3. or are mentally ill, it comes to reason that seeking out the same type of people; people that reinforce that belief would only cause one to do the act more.
