What the hell is an A190?

Wow, I don't care how that thing performs, that is one seriously ugly motor vehicle...

And thanks for the ride to the airport, Urmil...I'm here safe and sound!

My 'in-laws' have one.
If you think Mercedes are reliable cars, think again.

my wife had one, it was cute and pretty nippy - the wheels are 15" series 50 tyres - the ride is harder than the S2000.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that A class handle well.

They failed a European "moose test" guite miserably.

The test involves the car swerving to avoid a moose like object at high speed.

The A class rolled during the test. Since then the car's suspension has been redesigned, but with a high centre of weight I doubt it will handle too well.

I can't believe I used to take an A190 stock to fang around the national parks ... Maybe I was crazy but it wasn't that much of given a bad rating compared to small Japanese hatchbacks which I kept them way behind my rear view mirror could say.

a lot of cars fail the moose test, however this was the first Merc to do that - so it was famous.

The A production was halted after the debacle and now all have the special computer system which was on the S class and you find on some Porsche. This prevents the car from loosing it before things get too bad in a corner. It works by breaking each wheel individually depending on the angle/yaw of the car. The low profile tyres help also - but it gives it a teeth crunching ride. You can now get a stretched version with even bigger rear leg room.

Well put there Kobe, I certainly have the agree that the factory equipped low profile Pirelli P6000s offered not quite a very comfortable ride but it certainly was not bad in handling all time round for something like that.
