Well now, that's the first thing I've seen that would make me consider going away from my beloved TiVo... Pretty sweet - any idea about a release date and pricing?

Aside from RAPING people on the price of more record time, the unit looks pretty nice

Couple of questions:

1) What is Replay TV's privacy policy and how is it integrated into the box? Specifically, do you guys collect demographic data on the users without them knowing it like Tivo does? I won't buy a Tivo specifically because of this. Actually I will but I'll immediately hack it and turn off their information collection system.

2) You may be precluded from answering this one but....What OS does it use? Tivo runs on Linux and is infinitely hackable which makes for some cool stuff.

It looks really cool though. I've always liked Replay TV better than Tivo but thought they had stopped selling boxes except through OEM's like Panasonic.

Thanks.

Don't forget, when comparing this box to UTV or TiVo that there's no $10.95/mo or $250 lifetime subscription to pay...

That's cool. I didn't know there were other people in the PVR industry on this board. I thought you guys were going to go away from making products and become more of a licensor of technology. Guess I was mistaken.

When it says "send recorded programs to your friends via the Internet", does this mean to other people with Replay TV? or to people with Computers over the internet.
