Default What to look for when purchasing a flood damage ca

So I found a sick deal for my buddy looking for a 350z.. well the catch is it considered flood damage, but from the pictures of it all and from talking to the owner, the car was in submerged in water at all, he took interior pics and took pics with the water around it and not even going into the interior, but the front you can see is pretty high (the car was parked in a incline in some lot.) He did a compression test and with proof it shows it ran pretty close to stock (the car has 40k on it) so I was wondering what else should i look for? anything i can do ?

Its an '04 RS with 110k miles. However, 5k miles ago did a compression test and it has 165psi in all 4 cylinders. I have maintenance records of everything done. In addition it has an Evo 9 turbo, Wilwood 6pot brakes in front with 2 piece slotted floating rotors, and 4pot brakes in rear with same rotor setup. Previous owner (original owner) worked for Wilwood so I have a spare front and rear caliper along with 3 sets of Wilwood brake pads. The interior is stripped of all carpets and headliner but has Evo9 Recaro seats (leather as opposed to cloth on Evo 8). It has a Bushchur exhaust, and upgraded Exedy clutch. I bought a walbro fuel pump, 680cc injectors, and zeitronix system (egt guage, o2 sensor, boost sensor, electronic display) for it but haven't had the time to put it on. T. I do have an extra set of oem wheels with federal 595 tires (20%) left as well. I think I covered everything. Clean title and can provide the VIN if need be. Bitchin price too and if you're seriously interested PM me.

It was going to be permanent track toy, but other things have gotten in the way.

Never, ever, knowingly buy a flood damaged car -- unless maybe for a track car but even then, it could be a risk.
