what p2p download programs to use now
what programs r u people using now. i was using kazaa lite, but it appears to be functioning less than 100% with the recent raid and all
That depends on what you're downloading...
For most stuff, like mp3's, movies, games, and other warez, I use IRC.
I sometimes use the binary newsgroups for movies and TV shows. I'm pretty sure you can find a lot of mp3's on the newsgroups also, but IRC is easier for me so I usually go with that for music.

I don't actually use IRC for mp3's and movies too much anymore, I'm too lazy and usually just grab them from friends' FTP servers. I still use it from time to time for warez and PS2/XBOX games though.
I'll get back to you in a few minutes.
EDIT:
PM sent.

I hate Kazaa it mess up my internet connection so bad. I get all these weird pop up now and normally I don't get pop up. Don't install Kazaa unless you want all that crap coming into you computer. But I have to admit the selection is a lot broader then winmx. My DL was only able to go half the bandwidth though with Kazaa so the cons are greater then the pros.
I like to use DC (Direct Connect). Connections speeds are crap ever since Napster, etc. went down, so don't expect more than like 40 kbps, but if you're patient, it's a reliable source, and since the "hubs" are independently "owned/operated", it's 100% free from the RIAA, etc. It's a little difficult to learn, but once you get a hang of it, it ain't too bad.
